How This Structure Works
A punch-partition box builds an internal partition from panels punched out during setup, seating and protecting several units within one structure. The partition folds down from the blank rather than arriving as a separate insert, forming cells that keep items apart. The geometry suits multi-unit packs where holding each piece in its own compartment matters, reducing contact between units under handling. Because the partition is integral, the box ships flat and forms its compartments as it is assembled, cutting loose parts on the line. It can present a tidy, organized interior when opened, with each unit seated in place and easy to remove one at a time.

Assembly & Construction
The partition panels are die-cut into the blank and punched out during setup, folding down into cells while the outer walls raise around them. The base locks or glues to hold shape under the loaded units. Assemblers erect the box, press out the partition, and seat one item per cell, so the compartments form as part of assembly rather than requiring a separately inserted divider aligned by hand.
Materials & Board Options
A firm paperboard can suit lighter punch-partition boxes where the punched cells must hold a crease, while heavier or fragile items point toward a corrugated grade for cell and wall support. Final caliper, any flute, and coating typically depend on the number and weight of units, box size, print, filling method, and handling, so a loaded sample usually confirms the cells hold.
