Boxes bear load through their vertical edges, so the board's edge-crush characteristics and the box's dimensions together determine how much weight can stack before the walls buckle. We factor in whether boxes sit in tall stacks and whether they carry weight in transit, then match board grade to that reality. Undersizing board to save a few cents often costs far more in crushed shipments.

Print That Survives Handling

Exterior print on a custom ship box takes abrasion from belts, chutes, and neighboring boxes. Flexo printing directly on kraft or white-top corrugated is durable and efficient for shipping-grade work, and it handles bold logos, addresses, and one-to-a-few colors well. Where a brand wants photographic exterior graphics that still survive shipping, litho-lamination with a protective coating is an option. A matte or gloss coating can add scuff resistance, though no coating makes print fully immune to hard handling, so we design graphics that still read well even if edges take a scuff.
