Uncoated kraft has a warm, recycled look and a tactile surface that suits soy, beeswax, and botanical stories. It prints well in one- or two-color designs, and a kraft box with a single-hit black or foil logo reads honest and premium at once. Where a brand wants a brighter, fuller-color presentation, we can move to a coated or white stock, but for the natural segment kraft is usually the right call. A die-cut window is an option if you want to show the vessel or a decorative wax color without opening the box.

Lid Clearance for Tall Candles

The clearance detail specific to candles is the lid on the vessel. A tumbler or jar lid — especially a domed wood or metal one — adds height that has to be accounted for, or the box lid presses down and can loosen or damage the vessel lid. We set the internal height to the vessel plus its lid plus a small ease, so the box closes without contact. For multi-wick and pillar-style vessels that are unusually tall, this clearance planning is the difference between a box that closes cleanly and one that bulges.
