Corrugated board is built from a fluted medium glued between one or more liners. That wavy flute is what gives corrugated its strength-to-weight advantage: it resists crushing and cushions contents without adding much mass. For anything that ships, corrugated is usually the starting point.

Printing on Corrugated
Two print routes dominate corrugated. Flexography prints directly on the liner and suits bold graphics and larger runs. Litho-lamination prints a coated sheet on offset presses and laminates it to the flute, unlocking photographic detail and finishes like spot UV — a common route for E-flute retail mailers. We match your PMS colors on either path and advise which route fits your artwork and run size.
From Pilot to Volume
Corrugated scales cleanly. A validated dieline used for a 100-unit pilot carries straight into a volume run, and per-unit cost falls as tooling and setup amortize across more boxes. We help you choose single-wall for retail and light-to-medium shipping or double-wall where stacking strength and heavier contents demand it. For runs that need photographic detail, litho-lamination on E-flute delivers offset-quality print; for bold, fewer-color shipping cartons, direct flexo is efficient at volume. Whatever the route, we match your PMS colors and hold press profiles so reorders stay consistent.
Right-Sizing and Board Grade
The single biggest driver of both protection and shipping cost is fit. A carton that is too large invites the contents to shift, which is where damage starts, and it also increases the dimensional weight carriers bill against. When you send us the length, width, and height of your product — plus any void-fill or insert you plan to use — we build the internal dimensions of the dieline around it so the box closes cleanly with minimal empty space.
Board grade is the second lever. Corrugated is specified not only by flute but by the strength of its liners, and heavier liners resist puncture and stacking loads better. For mixed-SKU fulfillment we can standardize on a small family of sizes so pack-out stays fast, or for a single flagship product we can dial in one snug box. If your boxes will be palletized and stacked, tell us the stack height and we will recommend a board grade that holds its shape through the supply chain rather than bulging under load.
